The newest e-mail client out there for Mac OS and Windows, PostBox - born from a rib of the code and developers of Mozilla's Thunderbird - finally goes out of the beta with this 1.0 release and gets commercial sporting 3 types of licence.
Nearly 40$ for a single person, multi computer licence, a low priced family pack licence and limitited time, promotional 25$ "lifetime" licence, which will gives you the right to update the software forever.
Also check-out the features page, probably it will convince you of the investment ... personally I'm sticking with Thunderbird, hoping for the 3.0release to come out soon!

With this close connection, learning about the command line makes more sense in GNU/Linux than in many operating systems. You do not need to be full of command line macho, believing that the only real computing goes on at a command prompt, to appreciate the connection. While the command line is in many ways the opposite of the desktop, in that it is thorough and encourages the gaining of expertise, the two interfaces are complementary. For simple, routine tasks, the desktop is often preferable, especially if you are viewing graphics. If you want to administer your system or fine-tune performance, then the command line is the interface you need.

(Reuters) - Six in 10 companies in a survey plan to skip the purchase
of Microsoft Corp's Windows 7 computer operating system, many of them
to pinch pennies and others over concern about compatibility with
their existing applications.
...
Many of the more than 1,000 companies that responded to a survey by
ScriptLogic Corp say they have economized by cutting back on software
updates and lack the resources to deploy Microsoft's latest offering.
